Universitas Indonesia (UI) bersama Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) dan PT Luwes Inovasi Mandini meluncurkan Aplikasi Shallow Water Mapper (SWM), aplikasi perangkat lunak buatan anak bangsa pertama yang mengadopsi teknologi Satellite Derived Bathymetry (SDB). Inovasi yang didukung oleh Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan (LPDP) melalui Program Kompetisi Riset Inovatif Produktif (RISPRO) tersebut diluncurkan pada Kamis (14\/3), di Aula Utama Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG), Gedung S, Lantai 2, Cibinong, Bogor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wakil Rektor Bidang Riset dan Inovasi, drg. Nurtami, Ph.D., Sp,OF(K) menyebut bahwa SWM merupakan wujud kolaborasi antara universitas, institusi pemerintah, dan swasta dalam hilirisasi dan pengembangan teknologi inovatif. \u201cKolaborasi ini tidak hanya menunjukkan sinergi antara pengetahuan akademik dan kebutuhan praktis dalam mengatasi permasalahan bangsa, tetapi juga memperkuat fondasi untuk percepatan pembangunan berkelanjutan di Indonesia,\u201d ujar drg. Nurtami.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Proyek SWM yang diketuai oleh Dosen Departemen Geografi Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) UI, Dr. Eng. Masita Dwi Mandini Manessa, menekankan pentingnya pendekatan multidisiplin dalam menghadapi tantangan geospasial yang kompleks. Inovasi ini menggabungkan keahlian di bidang geografi, teknologi informasi geospasial, dan manajemen sumber daya kelautan. Diharapkan inovasi SWM dapat mendukung berbagai aspek pembangunan nasional yang berdampak pada kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, serta peningkatan kualitas hidup masyarakat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SWM dirancang dengan teknologi SDB terintegrasi agar pemetaan batimetri pesisir dengan skala semi-detail dapat lebih efisien, cepat, akurat, dan hemat biaya tanpa ketergantungan pada survei lapangan. Batimetri (bathimetry) dapat diartikan sebagai pengukuran dan pemetaan topografi dasar laut. Informasi kedalaman laut (batimetri) di suatu perairan merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam kegiatan pemanfaatan ruang di wilayah pantai. Oleh karena itu, inovasi ini mampu menyajikan solusi ekonomis untuk memperbarui informasi batimetri esensial yang penting untuk perencanaan pembangunan pesisir, pengelolaan sumber daya kelautan, serta peningkatan keamanan dan navigasi maritim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Terdapat beberapa fitur canggih yang ditawarkan SWM, termasuk akses langsung ke citra satelit, ekstraksi data batimetri yang akurat, dan pemrosesan data melalui algoritma pembelajaran mesin. Aplikasi dengan Tingkat Kesiapan Teknologi (TRL) 9 tersebut kini dapat dioperasikan dengan pemerintah dan sektor swasta sebagai target pengguna utama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pengembangan SWM membuka peluang besar bagi Indonesia untuk melakukan continuous improvement dan peningkatan kapasitas di bidang teknologi geospasial. Tantangan ke depannya dalam pengembangan inovasi ini adalah memastikan aspek hilirisasi berjalan sesuai rencana, meningkatkan kesadaran pengguna, memperluas kapasitas penggunaan teknologi SDB, dan memperbaharui data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Acara peluncuran aplikasi SWM turut dihadiri oleh Kepala Badan Informasi Geospasial, Prof. Dr.rer.nat.
