Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA UI) menggelar webinar MIPAtalk Series ke 5. Tajuk webinar pada seri ini adalah \u201cAplikasi Nanoplasmonic untuk Sensor Biologi dan Material\u201d. Webinar mengundang Dr. Ferry Anggoro Ardy Nugroho seorang peneliti di&nbsp;<em>Department of Physics and Astronomy, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam<\/em>, Belanda sebagai narasumber. Dr. Ferry memiliki banyak pengalaman dan publikasi di bidang&nbsp;<em>materials science, nanotechnology, sensors,&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>energy<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kegiatan ini berlangsung secara virtual. Tidak hanya diselenggarakan melalui platform Zoom Meeting, MIPAtalk ini juga disiarkan secara langsung di kanal YouTube resmi FMIPA UI (FMIPA UI Official) guna dapat disaksikan oleh masyarakat umum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Agenda dibuka dengan sambutan dari Dr. Dipo Aldila, S.Si., M.Si. selaku Manajer Riset dan Pengabdian Masyarakat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMIPAtalk ini merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen Fakultas yang diturunkan dari Universitas,\u201d kata Dr. Dipo membauka sambutan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201ckita Perlu meng-<em>update<\/em>&nbsp;keilmuan kita. Ilmu terus berkembang sehingga kita perlu mendengarkan progres keilmuan dan di sini ada beberapa bidang ilmu yang menjadi fokus yang salah satunya akan dibawakan Pak Ferry. Kami berharap dari kegiatan ini nanti akan menjadi alat untuk meningkatkan wawasan kita sebagai peluang kerja sama atau penelitian nanti kedepannya,\u201d ujar pakar Matematika Epidemiologi tersebut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Masuk ke sesi utama yaitu paparan Dr. Ferry Anggoro Ardy Nugroho. Materi yang dibawakan diantaranya ada pengenalan&nbsp;<em>nanoplasmonics,&nbsp;<\/em>aplikasi sensor&nbsp;<em>nanoplasmonics,&nbsp;<\/em>dan perkembangan terkininya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dalam paparannya Dr. Ferry menjelaskan bahwa fenomena di balik&nbsp;<em>nanoplasmonics<\/em>&nbsp;adalah ketika gelombang cahaya berinteraksi dengan nanopartikel logam. Interaksi cahaya dengan nanopartikel logam menghasilkan \u201cwarna\u201d pada nanopartikel. Perbedaan \u201cwarna\u201d pada nanopartikel logam karena efek dari plasmonics. Dr Ferry melanjutkan, ada dua jenis sensor&nbsp;<em>nanoplasmonics<\/em>&nbsp;tergantung dari apa yang berubah dari puncak resonansi. Yang pertama adalah langsung (<em>direct<\/em>), ketika yang berubah adalah kondisi nanopartikel. Yang kedua adalah tak langsung (<em>indirect<\/em>), ketika yang berubah adalah kondisi di sekitar nanopartikel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Prinsip dasar&nbsp;<em>direct plasmonic sensing&nbsp;<\/em>adalah ketika nanopartikel (material\/logam) berubah. Contohnya seperti perubahan fasa (oksidasi, hidridasi,dll.), perubahan bentuk atau fisik, serta perubahan suhu. Di samping itu, prinsip dasar&nbsp;<em>indirect plasmonic sensing<\/em>&nbsp;adalah ketika keadaan di sekitar nanopartikel berubah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sensor&nbsp;<em>hydrogen nanoplasmonics<\/em>&nbsp;menjadi sensor pertama dengan waktu deteksi kurang dari satu detik. Integrasinya dengan fiber optic bisa mendekatkan platform nanoplasmonics ke aplikasi. Kemudian integrasinya dengan polimer dan printer 3D bisa menghasilkan sensor dengan skalabilitas tinggi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Ferry menutup paparan materinya dengan ringkasan kesimpulan sebagai berikut. Sensor&nbsp;<em>nanoplasmonics<\/em>&nbsp;memanfaatkan interaksi cahaya dengan nanopartikel logam. Meskipun relatif sederhana, sensor&nbsp;<em>naoplasmonics<\/em>&nbsp;sangat serbaguna dan sensitif dengan aplikasi yang tak terbatas, baik biologi maupun material. Dengan kreativitas penggunaan jenis maupun konfigurasi nanopartikel, bisa membuka banyak aplikasi maupun capaian baru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seusai sesi paparan materi dari Dr. Ferry. Webinar dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab beliau dengan peserta webinar yang hadir di Zoom Meeting.
