{"id":5045,"date":"2020-12-29T03:10:00","date_gmt":"2020-12-29T03:10:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geografi.sci-ui.id\/?p=5045"},"modified":"2026-01-07T03:12:08","modified_gmt":"2026-01-07T03:12:08","slug":"fmipa-ui-hadirkan-solusi-kebutuhan-air-bersih-di-bandung","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geografi.sci-ui.id\/en\/fmipa-ui-hadirkan-solusi-kebutuhan-air-bersih-di-bandung\/","title":{"rendered":"FMIPA UI Hadirkan Solusi Kebutuhan Air Bersih di Bandung"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sebagai upaya mencari sumber air bersih di wilayah Cisarua \u2013 Jawa Barat, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam Universitas Indonesia (FMIPA UI) melalui Tim Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat (PPM) yang diketuai oleh Dr. Tito Latif Indra, S.Si., M.Si. mengadakan survei dan pengukuran metode ground penetrating radar (GPR) di Asrama Bina Siswa SMA Plus Cisarua Jawa Barat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program pengabdian dan pemberdayaan masyarakat (pengmas) yang dilakukan oleh akademisi FMIPA UI untuk mencari solusi atas kesulitan memperoleh air bersih yang dialami masyarakat setempat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBerdasarkan interpretasi hasil metode GPR oleh tim PPM UI 2020, kami memperoleh zona akuifer air tanah berada di sekitar Asrama Bina Siswa SMA Plus Cisarua berada di kedalaman 15-20 meter. Hasil interpretasi kami, zona akuifer air tanah berada di kedalaman 15-20 meter. Harapannya setelah mendapatkan hasil ini segera dilakukan pemboran sumur sehingga tidak perlu membeli air bersih lagi untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan sehari-hari warga di sekitar asrama,\u201d ujar Tito menyampaikan hasil survei yang dilakukan timnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pada kesempatan yang sama, Iskandarsyah, M.Si., dosen program studi S1 Geofisika UI mengatakan bahwa Kabupaten Bandung Barat khususnya Kecamatan Cisarua secara geologi tersusun atas litologi batuan vulkanik dan tuf pasiran yang tidak terlalu baik sebagai akuifer air tanah sehingga di beberapa lokasi masyarakat kesulitan memperoleh air bersih. Air hujan yang turun ke permukaan sejatinya akan dapat ditampung di dalam reservoir air tanah namun karena litologi batuan penyusunnya didominasi oleh batuan vulkanik sehingga memungkin air tidak tertampung dan langsung masuk ke lapisan batuan yang lebih dalam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAda kemungkinan lapisan akuifer air tanah di Cisarua ini merupakan tipikal air tanah dalam sehingga perlu menggunakan metode geofisika dalam menemukan zona akuifer air tanah,\u201d ujar Iskandarsyah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">GPR merupakan salah satu metode geofisika yang memanfaatkan gelombang radar (gelombang EM dengan frekuensi 10 \u2013 1000 MHz) ke dalam bumi dalam memetakan kondisi di bawah permukaan. Peristiwa pemetaan tersebut terjadi ketika transmitter GPR memancarkan gelombang EM ke dalam bumi dari permukaan. Metode ini banyak digunakan dalam pencarian zona akuifer air tanah di beberapa negara seperti Jepang, Australia, maupun Maroko.
